In 1992 I built the interior armature for these life size trees, part of the African Savannah installation in the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh, PA. The full-scale mortar and pestle seen here is also a specialty fabrication piece on view in the MuseumÕs exhibit of Iroquois lifeways.
